About Me

A student of yoga since 2010, I was drawn to the practice as an outlet to create physical and emotional health in my life and assist with the challenges of life as a mother of 4 young children.  After a year in Ottawa (where my yoga practice began) I discovered Jade Wellness Studio upon return to the Sault. In 2015, I decided to deepen my practice and took part in Jade’s first 200 hour teacher training with Kumari.  I have since completed various trainings and apprenticeships with teachers at the studio, including Maria McPhee and Nancy Stewart-Neave, well known teachers in Sault Ste. Marie.  I have a passion for Yin Yoga and love sharing it with others.  Then in 2018 I embarked on a 100 hour Yin Yoga training with Marla Erikson in Ottawa, and have observed the transformation it has provided me in my students.

June 2020 marked the beginning of my journey into formal Yoga Therapy education.  With the desire to learn how to use yoga in a more systematic way, I enrolled in the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Foundations program.  I am currently finishing the 250 hour Foundations program and working on additional modules to give me the tools to work with people with all sorts of conditions such as cancer, depression, anxiety, back injuries, and pelvic floor issues.  I am also interested in helping people recover from Covid-19 and researching various ways to do that.
