About Me
A dedicated student of yoga since 2010, I was initially drawn to the practice seeking physical and emotional wellness while navigating the demands of mothering four young children. My yoga journey began in Ottawa and continued when I discovered Jade Wellness Studio upon returning to Sault Ste. Marie.
In 2015, I deepened my commitment to yoga by completing Jade's inaugural 200-hour teacher training with Kumari. Since then, I have pursued various specialized apprenticeships with respected local instructors, including Maria McPhee and Nancy Stewart-Neave. My particular passion lies in Yin Yoga, which led me to complete a 100-hour Yin Yoga training with Marla Erikson in Ottawa in 2018. The transformative effects I've witnessed in both myself and my students continue to inspire my teaching.
In June 2020, I embarked on formal yoga therapy education through the Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Foundations program. After completing the comprehensive 250-hour Foundations certification and additional specialized modules, I continued with the advanced program. In 2025, I achieved certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT), representing the highest standard in yoga therapy education and practice. This rigorous training has equipped me with evidence-based tools to support individuals with various conditions including cancer, depression, anxiety, grief & bereavement, and menopause.
As a certified yoga therapist, I currently serve the community at ARCH Hospice, where I provide personalized yoga therapy services. My approach combines traditional yoga wisdom with modern therapeutic understanding to create individualized healing experiences that honour each person's unique journey toward wellness.
